She is an international practitioner of Prana Vinyasa Yoga with advanced certifications at The White Lotus Foundation, Shiva Rea’s Samudra Global School of Living Yoga, and the Soma Institute of Clinical Massage Therapy. As a yoga instructor, Caitlin is known for her unique synthesis of traditional Yoga practices with modern dance (BA, Dance and Choreography, Bard College, The Walnut Hill School for the Performing Arts), and for infusing her teaching with wisdom inspired by her triumph over multiple cancers.
In 2015 Caitlin was an honoree of the Massachusett’s General Hospital’s Cancer Center’s The One Hundred, which recognizes “100 Everyday Amazing individuals and groups each year who are changing how we fight cancer.” In recent years, Caitlin has made multiple festival appearances, including the Unifier Festival, The Nantucket Yoga Festival, and last year was a regional headliner for the Main Yoga Festival. This summer she will return to the LoveYoga Fest to teach both Prana Vinyasa Yoga and SUP Yoga for the third year in a row. On May 1, 2016 Caitlin will be a featured presenter at the upcoming 6th Annual Yoga Reaches Out New England Yogathon in recognition of her inspiring teaching style and ability to connect large groups of students to the practice.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. After surviving cancer twice, that rings true for me now more than ever.

What do you love about Glide boards?

I love that my Lotus board gives me the stability I need for a full yoga practice, especially on those less that ideal choppy days when our summer southerly winds kick up.  I also love their bright, uplifting colors, which inspire me to focus on the abundance of beauty that surrounds me.  I’ve had more than a few people tell me how awesome it was to have an ariel view of my SUP Yoga classes when flying over the island.

Top three songs in your yoga playlist?
1. Lace by Random Rab
2. Krishna’s Dub by DJ Drez
3. Gold by Chet Faker

Favorite Pose(s) for SUP Yoga?
Headstand, pigeon, forward fold while holding the rails and savasana with the legs and arms falling into the water: liquid heaven.

Best advice for beginner SUP Yoga
Be willing to fall. The practice deepens dramatically when we are willing to be vulnerable and let go of our fear.

Fave post-paddle eats?
I teach back to back SUP Yoga classes in the summer, so I literally live on a grab and go diet. Typically that means I keep Nuun hydration mixes in my water bottles and refuel with cold pressed green juices. For those really vigorous paddles I use Vega’s Recovery Accelerator drink mix immediately post-workout and have been known to devour sushi with a vengeance.

If you could meet any person dead or alive who would it be?
Mikhail Baryshnikov, one of the greatest ballet dancers of all time.
